LOBBI FOR SLACK
Lobbi gives your video calls a branded waiting room. This app brings that waiting room into Slack: when a guest checks in, Lobbi posts to the channel you choose, and anyone on your team can let them in, tell them you're running late, or remove them — from the message itself.
A guest arrives early for a call and lands in a waiting room. Nobody notices. They sit there, then they leave. Lobbi's live desk shows who is waiting, but only if someone has it open — and most teams live in Slack, not in yet another tab.
With this app, the check-in comes to the channel your team is already in, and the whole response happens there too.
Someone opens your lobby link and enters their name.
One message: who is waiting, and which lobby they're in.
Three buttons on the message. No app switch, no extra login.
Let them in — admits the guest and posts the meeting link back to
the channel.
Running late — shows the guest an honest heads-up on the waiting
screen.
Remove — clears them from the lobby.
Whoever taps a button gets the result in the same message, so the channel always shows the current state instead of a stale prompt.
Lobbi for Slack is an add-on to a Lobbi account, so installation starts in Lobbi rather than from a bare "Add to Slack" button. You need a free Lobbi account first.
No card required. Finish onboarding to set up your workspace and host card.
Select Connect to start the Slack authorization flow.
Slack asks which channel Lobbi may post to. Approve, and you land back in Lobbi.
If your Slack workspace requires admin approval for new apps, your request goes to a workspace admin and the connection completes once they approve it.

You can disconnect from Integrations in Lobbi, which revokes the token and stops all posting. You can also remove Lobbi from Slack → Manage apps; Lobbi is notified and deletes the stored credentials for your workspace.
Lobbi asks for one Slack permission, and it is the narrowest one that can do the job.
WHAT LOBBI CAN DO
incoming-webhook — post messages to the single channel you pick during installWHAT LOBBI CANNOT DO
Anyone who can see the channel can use the buttons, so pick a channel whose members you are happy to have admitting and removing guests.
Lobbi stores the webhook URL, your workspace and channel IDs, and the ID of the person who connected the app. It does not copy Slack messages or profile data. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
No. The only permission Lobbi requests is incoming-webhook, which lets it post
to the one channel you pick. It cannot read messages, list channels, or send direct
messages.
Anyone who can see the channel. The first person to press a button handles the guest, and the message updates so everyone sees what happened.
The guest’s waiting screen shows a clear heads-up that you’re running a little late, so they know you’ve seen them and stay instead of leaving.
Yes. Lobbi’s live desk shows everyone who is waiting, and lobbies can also send an email when a guest checks in. Slack is an extra channel, not a replacement.
No. Slack notifications are included in Lobbi’s free plan.
The Slack app is included with Lobbi at no extra cost. Lobbi is free to start and needs no card — see pricing for what’s included.
